This website was created to help you and others to become better and smarter in business, leadership, creativity, and especially, entrepreneurship. This is a personal development website for those who want to take control of their income, learn to lead others, and become their own boss. You probably on some level want to take complete control of your life, as most people do. Not everyone can do this. There’s no point in dodging that fact. It takes time, energy, and dedication. It’s not easy, but it is very rewarding.
So who am I?
Well, by now you know my name is Marty Jones, and you know I run this website. I am a freshman at Indiana University, in Bloomington, Indiana. Currently I’m a double major in marketing and management. IU has one of the top-rated business programs in the United States, and is one of the top 100 universities world wide.
But what makes me worth listening to?
Why am I the authority on entrepreneurship? Well, I’m not. I don’t own a fortune 500 company, I don’t even work for a fortune 500 company. I run this website. And since you’re reading this, I can assume I’m doing something right.
Is this for profit?
I’ll be completely honest, I plan to make money from this site, but this website is not a self-help scam. I am not and never will be someone who endorses useless “instant success” products. Currently, I don’t even have advertisements on the website. I am committed to providing usable, helpful content first… And then making a buck or two. This is a business after all. :)
So what now?
Being an entrepreneur is not always business related. You must be an intelligent, resourceful, academic person to successfully support yourself. You must have people skills (or rather develop people skills, since no one is born with them). The purpose of iamMartyJones.com is to help you develop these skills, and use them effectively in every day life.
